The FM Group specialises in creating quality accommodation within all sectors of the commercial marketplace, responding to the vigorous demands of occupiers for optimum location, space and layout.
FM’s flexibility in providing unique accommodation is ever present within mixed-use development projects. These developments incorporate imaginative multi-purpose integration to maximise the environment potential for our tenants and purchasers.
Commercial activity extends into the office, retail, industrial and leisure sectors. Within all marketplaces, FM provides appropriate settings sensitive to the needs of its clients, whether this is in a city or suburban location.
A wide range of end-users is accommodated within FM's projects in all sectors, and we undertake early dialogue with them on their requirements. Satisfied occupiers include Tesco, Habitat, New Heights, Scottish Museums, the Carphone Warehouse, Oddbins, Strathclyde Police and Fortis UK.
FM has negotiated with a variety of sellers to undertake commercial projects including major UK property investment funds, national landowners and individuals who appreciate our professional and flexible approach. In addition, FM also obtains and develops projects on a joint venture basis, providing the opportunity to combine and integrate exceptional resources.
FM has undertaken a number of successful joint venture partnerships with Cala Properties in the office and retail sectors of the market. These included the successful purchase and receipt of planning consent for 230,000 sq ft of high quality office accommodation at Sighthill, Edinburgh; and the purchase of Wester Hailes Shopping Centre and the obtaining of planning for a 70,000 sq ft food consent. The Centre was rebranded Westside Plaza and disposed to AWG/Mitchell.
A joint venture business allows the opportunity for complementary organizations to utilise mutual professional skills to produce an economic return to the partners.
