North-east councillors today recommended that plans for a golf course on Ury Estate by Jack Nicklaus get given the go-ahead.
Jonathon Milne, director of FM Group said: “We are thrilled that the area committee has seen the bigger picture and has unanimously supported our proposals for a world-class, Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.
“This helps set the right tone for the decision by the full council in April.
“This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a truly spectacular golf development, with the historic Ury House at its heart, will create jobs and revenues for Stonehaven, the wider region and indeed Scotland for years to come.”
Once this development is complete it shall rival Gleneagles at being one of Scotland’s top 5* Golf and Hotel destinations.
With the East Lodge and Blue Lodge housing developments on the site now would be the perfect time to buy. These luxury homes are going to be very sound investments.

The plans for the £80m world-class golf development at Ury Estate, designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, go before the Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee local councillors tomorrow, Tuesday March 22nd.
Jonathon Milne, director of the FM Group, said: “This development, which has been several years in the making, has always represented a major opportunity for the region. However, at this time of crisis in the North-east due to the low oil price, the opportunity to create 200 jobs and a new world-class golf tourism destination that will generate £55.5million into the local economy cannot be passed up.”
